A resource for all children with dyspraxia in the Vale of Glamorgan

Vale Dyspraxia Support Group

DYSPRAXIA

So your child has been diagnosed with dyspraxia and you would like to know more about it. It can be frightening and worrying but you are not alone. It does not mean that your child is unintelligent and many famous people suffer from the same or related conditions.

The Vale Dyspraxia Support Group is a local self-help group of parents and others who have experience of dyspraxia. The group can help parents and carers support their children to maximise their abilities. It can offer help and support to adults who have the same condition.

The youth section of the group has produced a DVD of their presentation "Living with Dyspraxia". The live presentation has been very effecive in getting their message across to Ministers, AMs and local partners but takes up a lot of time. This DVD will enable their message to be widely distributed.

December meeting

The next meeting will be on Monday 5th December 2011, 7.30 p.m. at the Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry CF63 4RU, when we will have a presentation by Colin Howarth from Beechwood College
